Tube ScreamerJust though I'd drop a quick note about my newest build... It's just another tube screamer... all hand wired of course... I built it so that I could A/B opamps against each other on stage. I guess I'm looking for the opamp that oozes harmonics or something like that... I don't know. Anyway, check out the photos. Have fun.

Populating the resistors: I didn't use carbon comps because I think they probably add noise and technically they should sound the same

Populating Resistors

Soldering the resistors and creating the "traces":

Everything else populated - board finished: I use the loop side of velcro to keep the box from touching the board. I always have excess loop from using the hook on the bottom of pedal boxes.

TS-808 Board Finished

Preparing the box and recycling parts for reuse: the 3pdt pcbs from smallbear really make it easy to reuse an old switch... all of  the pots are reused from previous builds, as well as the jacks. Keeping this shit out of the land fill, you know?

Preparing Enclosure

All Wired Up: gut shot!

Gut Shot

Another shot of the guts ...

Ready to close this thing up: Another tube screamer finished to 808 spec other than the opamp!

Finished!
