This place is big! At our Wednesday night jam we've had 7 people on stage with room to move around. And on weekend gigs there have literally been hundreds of people in the audience. Papa G's is a very fun venue.

The Stage The stage is up against a glass wall that runs across the entire room to separate the billiards area from the rest of the crowd. Since the stage expansion last July there is enough space for nearly any act. It's not the deepest stage I've ever seen but there is plenty of width to spread out in. You can get away with a medium sized system here, but we bring a big system and it sounds good... at least two 18 inch subs and thousands of watts of power. The room is large enough to accommodate the volume. There are power outlets at each end of the stage and along the back of the stage. We always spread out the load among the outlets and we've never blown a breaker. The only way to get power at the front of the stage is to bring an extension cable. I like to bring a long that can go around the side of the stage... I don't like to run power cables across parts of the stage where we walk... it's annoying :P Load In / Load Out The backdoor by the bathrooms is the easiest way to the stage. You'll probably need to go in and get someone to unlock the door for you. After that you can lock the deadbolt while the door is open to make sure that you don't get locked out when you start carting in your gear.
If you use a cart you will have to do some smooth maneuvering around the corner that leads out of the bathroom hall and into the main room. If you set off the alarm on the back door at the end of the night when you are loading out just throw some duct tape over it's speaker until someone can get around to disable it.
